Pilot

The FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully examine the mysterious death of four teenagers. The studied medic Dana believes only in scientific evidence. Mulder on the other hand believes that the four were abducted by aliens prior their deaths. The investigation seems to confirm Mulder's hypothesis. Why are then Mulder's and Scully's reports withdrawn from circulation?

Deep Throat

Mrs Budahas, wife of a high ranked officer, blames the Air Force to have kidnapped her sick husband. Fox Mulder is pointed to the case by a mysterious informant who seems to come from the inner circle of the government and who talks with a very deep voice. It is the very same informant who later warns Fox to further investigate. Of course Mulder does not let the case fall. He sees strange lights in the sky: UFOs? Before Mulder can come close to the truth the missed Colonel surprisingly re-appears, the base is closed and the two agents are removed from the case. Yet this cannot stop Mulder. He sneaks to the base and observes a huge room. But he then is captured by security and his memories are brutally deleted by using a drug.

Squeeze

The liver of the victims of a bizarre murder series is ripped out. Mulder notices similarities to an unsolved murder series that reaches back to the year 1903 and has happened in the space of thirty years. When the agents arrest the young Eugene Victor Tooms they realize that there are not files about him but his finger prints fit to the ones from 1903. Can this nice man really be a terrifying genetic perverted mutant ripping out other people's livers?

In front of the eyes of her mother Ruby Morris vanishes one night into a blinding bright beam of light. Fox Mulder is very much interested in this case since his sister had vanished under similar circumstances. A lot speaks for the landing of a space ship where Ruby vanished. While Scully and Mulder are occupied with this case Ruby's brother receives digital messages from the television.

The Jersey Devil

A mysterious series of murders in Jersey causes confusion. Homeless people are killed in a barbaric manner. Mulder and Scully investigate and find out that all victims were afraid of a mysterious being which ploughs through trash cans at night. Somebody even made a drawing which shows a long haired ape like creature. It almost seems as if the legendary "Devil of Jersey" of the ghost stories has come to life. Disguised as a homeless person Mulder lies in wait and indeed very soon gets to see the mysterious being. When he goes after it it can fell but Mulder believes now to know who is behind it: a female representative of a human primate race which has survived the millennia.

Shadows

At the beginning of a new case of the FBI agents Mulder and Scully becoming a team are two deaths whose throats were cut in a brutal way - in a curious manner: from inside! Their investigation leads Fox Mulder and Dana Scully eventually to the secretary Lauren Kite whose boss just recently committed suicide. That is what the file says but the truth is somewhat different. He was murdered when he had found out criminal dealings within his company. But the culprits didn't expect him to spirit around as a ghost and protect his beloved Lauren from their killers.

Ghost in the Maschine

Mulder's former partner Jerry Laman is in a difficult case and asks for his help. The boss of a computer company producing highly intelligent computers was mysteriously put under electricity. As culprit is eventually identified the newest model of the company, an artificial intelligence with the name COS (Central Operating System), which has the entire company under control and kills anyone who could become dangerous to it. When Jerry becomes victim of the machine, the ministry of defense orders the FBI agents to leave the case alone. But Deep Throat, Mulder's informant urges him to shut the monster down for good.

8. S1E08

Ice

Mulder and Scully are ordered to investigate mysterious deaths at a research station in Alaska from which is deeply drilled into the ice layer in order to gain knowledge about the coming of mankind. The bad weather prevents first that the agents as well as scientist Murphy Hodge and DaSilva can be flown there by pilot Bear. Then they have finally three days before a new storm will isolate the station once more from the outer world. When they arrive Mulder is attacked by a dog and Bear who wants to help him is bitten before Hodge can stun it. When Scully examines the dog she finds black dots on its skin. The hurt pilot discovers some on his arm, too but does not tell. A short time later the signs are gone from the dog. The station is a total mess - all inhabitants killed each other. Bear wants to return to the base but Mulder wants quarantine. It is decided to examine Bear but he denies it and hits out in all directions. A small worm is discovered under Bear's skin.

Space

Mulder and Scully become the hint that the space shuttle program of NASA is sabotaged. Colonel Belt the leader of the program does not believe in sabotage. But Belt is acting rather strange himself. He seems to be controlled by a foreign power.

Fallen Angel

Agent Fox Mulder is informed about a cover up try of the government about a UFO landing location by his secrete informant Deep Throat. He is not the only one being interested in it. On location Mulder meets a UFO believer who apparently was before him at said location. The military tries to keep Mulder away from the findings while on the base an alien should be examined. But Mulder investigates further. When he is discovered his job at the FBI is suddenly endangered.

Miracle Man

Mulder and Scully are called to Tennessee where the young Samuel works as a miracle healer. Indeed it seems that Samuel's healing hands are failing because a series of deaths unsettle the community. After Mulder has dealt with the by belief driven Samuel he realises very quickly that the healer is not the one responsible for the murders. Yet, when Mulder is plagued by visions of his vanished sister he is convinced that Samuel actually has paranormal abilities.

Shapes

Rancher Jim Parker and his son Lyle shoot one night a roaming predator. To their horror both learn that they didn't kill an animal but Joe Goodensnake - a Native American from the neighbouring reservation. Mulder and Scully want an autopsy but are turned away by the local Sheriff who is also Native American. Instead Goodensnake's body is burnt after ritual customs. When Lyle turns up at the burial in order to apologise he is admonished by Goodensnake's sister Gwen. In the following night Jim Parker is attacked by a beast and torn apart. The Sheriff realises that the case is not over yet and brings Mulder to an old medicine man letting him in on the secret of "Manitou"; an old demon of the Algonquin Natives who awakes the beast in man.

Darkness Falls

When in the state Washington a group of lumberjacks vanishes as well as a group did 50 years ago Fox moves heaven and earth to get the mysterious case. His persuasive talents win out and Mulder and Scully are on their way to the forest to examine the unexplainable phenomenon. They discover that the lumberjacks had to suffer a much worse punishment than through a legal system when they cut a not marked tree. Soon Mulder and Scully are trapped along with three men of the unlawful kind at a hut surrounded by meat eating insects which go on the hunt when it becomes dark. Their only hope is that the generator keeps on working.
